All about Tim, the man.

I am currently a freshman at Duke University. I love to program, I like lint-rollers, and I dress up on Tuesdays for fun.

Projects

Warren Buffet Bracket Challenge: I am currently collaborating with a classmate of mine on giving the $500 million prize that Warren Buffet is offering for anyone who can predict the perfect bracket for the NCAA tournament. I am using copious amounts of basketball stats in an algorithm that we are writing to see if we can bring the odds of winning from 1/9.2 quintillion to 1/10k-100k. Then distribute 10k - 100k brackets to 10k - 100k people. Our plan is to distribute the winnings to all members of the pool if one of them manages to win.

fratspeak: A website that a couple of friends and I put together. fratspeak is a website that generates "sentences" in the style of frat boys, often to great comedic effect. We used a Markov Chain to relate the strings of words.

BetterConfab: An app that aims to make small talk trivial no longer. It generates a meaningful question to ask someone whenever you would have had participated in meaningless confabulation. I wrote and designed all elements of the app in a span of two weeks, collecting questions from friends, family, and my very own brain!
